What the Client Asked For
Carol and Bruce had heard about river cruising and wondered if it would be for them.
They were interested in a seamless trip to see the historical sights from the Netherlands, down the Rhine River and when we were able to add on time in beautiful Switzerland, they were sold!
They wanted to travel in April when the famous Tulips would likely be blooming.
The Bergers had learned about the river cruises we partnered with and felt that they would provide the type of hospitality that would make their trip very comfortable!
What We Booked for Them
We booked the Bergers on a trip where they got to enjoy time spent in beautiful Switzerland .
After a few days in Switzerland, they soaked up the scenery with 7 days sailing the Rhine River .
They were traveling during the famous “tulip time” in the Netherlands so they were able to see the famous fields of tulips!
We arranged a stateroom with a balcony for soaking up the atmosphere along the way.
They had choices of several types of excursions in every village along the way plus entertainment and even enrichment classes during times when the ship was sailing.

Bruce and I began our adventure in Zurich, Switzerland where we were greeted by the cruise director Adriana. One thing we really liked was having the same person with us throughout the entire trip starting on day one.
Both in Switzerland and on the cruise we enjoyed guided tours of beautiful cathedrals, old towns, markets and wineries however, we were also given time to explore on our own. Because there were less than 200 people on the ship, about half of whom were with us in Switzerland, we got to know many of them. This was something that we enjoyed a lot, meeting all the people from around the country.
Meals were enjoyable due to the company and the wonderful wait staff who always made sure everything was perfect and often had us laughing too hard to eat! We ended our cruise in Amsterdam where I got to check off a bucket list item and see the tulips.
Photos can’t do them justice! Who knew how many varieties there were?
Pam did a wonderful job helping us pick a cruise with the right itinerary for us. We would recommend her and her team for your trip and definitely want to take another river cruise in the future!

What the Client Asked For
They were planning on going to Alaska once in their lifetime.
They wanted us to make it memorable.
They wanted to stay away from crowds and out in nature.
Those ideas were what drew them to Alaska.
The Giles were not sure if they could visit Alaska without traveling on large ships or in large touring groups, but were open to the ideas of a more intimate way of seeing beautiful Alaska!
What We Booked for Them
We booked the Giles on flights into Anchorage with time spent staying in chalet style properties out in nature. They had excursions set up with a small group to see the Denali National Park area and had fun outdoor adventures to interact with nature in that area and meet the great Alaskan people.
After several days on land, they flew to Juneau to board a small yacht to sail the inside passage with a small group of other explorers.
From their yacht, they were able to kayak, hike, paddleboard and interact with the creatures and glaciers in Glacier National Park.

We felt like we had the trip of a lifetime exploring by ship and also on land. We got up close and personal with the whales while in our sea kayak. Bushwhacking across unpopulated islands was amazing. Flying onto mountain glaciers to hike was such a special experience!

The Destins are so smart to invest time in themselves by getting away at least once a year to celebrate just being together!
They have been getting with us for many years to set up some time to just enjoy being for anniversaries & birthdays.
They love a beautiful beach with great hospitality.
Some times they have booked accommodations with butlers, sometimes more simple accommodations.
What We Booked for Them
We have sent the Destins to many of the best beaches of the Caribbean. Some destinations were so nice we have had them visit more than once However, when it was time for a big anniversary, the Destins were ready to head out to the beauty of the South Pacific to visit Tahiti and Bora Bora.
This destination features the iconic overwater bungalows known for romantic getaways, stunning scenery, relaxation unlike any other location and topped off with wonderful gourmet French food!
We made sure they were staying at some of our favorite resorts so they had a chance to really be spoiled for this special anniversary!

A special trip for two ladies to two dreamed about locations of London and Paris. A special part of this trip was to be in London to celebrate a shared birthday with Queen Elizabeth!
They wanted their trip to be safe and conveniently organized for this first trip to the UK and Europe.
The ladies wanted to make sure this trip went very smoothly.
What We Booked for Them
Their package included air travel, hotel, private transfers, small group tours, a special day trip through the Chunnel with guided touring to see Paris and some of its highlights.
We included the protection of travel insurance as part of their package.

I chose South Shore Travel because it is local, all my questions were answered quickly, and the time and attention that was spent discussing all my wishes for my trip to London was very helpful.
I asked Pam at South Shore Travel to help me plan a trip to London. It had been a life long dream of mine to visit London and celebrate my birthday, which is also the Queen’s Birthday, in front of Buckingham Palace. In addition I wanted to tour places such as Westminster Abbey, The Tower of London, and Windsor and Kensington Palaces. South Shore Travel provided all of this and much more! We enjoyed the addition of a train day trip to Paris and a tour while there which included a visit to The Eiffel Tower and The Louvre! Also had tickets to see Shakespeare’s “ Romeo and Juliet” at The Globe Theatre during our trip!
My favorite part of my trip was celebrating my birthday and Queen Elizabeth’s, in front of Buckingham Palace!! Viewing the changing of the guard, listening to the gun salute to mark the Queen’s Birthday and all the pageantry of
the day! I will never forget it!

Australia has always fascinated so many of us here in the US. Clients have mentioned many times a desire to see that area of the world, but hesitated due to it being so far away.
They were not sure how to navigate it on their own.
Clients have wanted to see those unique animals you only see in Australia & New Zealand as well as the gorgeous landscapes.
Since we have the best connections with experts to coordinate a group trip, it was time to create a totally custom adventure!
We traveled as a group of 12.
What We Booked for Them
We created an itinerary where some went into New Zealand for about 9 days, then the others of us met up with them in Auckland, New Zealand for a short stay. After exploring some highlights such as the now famous Hobbiton where those Lord of the Rings movies were filmed, as well as visiting the famous caves with the glow worms, it was time for heading to Australia for two weeks.
We maximized our time to see and do things you will only experience in Australia! There were animal encounters, time snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef, light hiking in the beauty of the Blue Mountains, time on the powerfully beautiful southern coast and peaceful walks in rainforests. Seeing kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and hearing all the variety of birds was magical!
After a very active itinerary full of comfortable hotels, private transportation, plus customized touring and delicious food, we ended our time with 3 nights in Fiji to just relax on a beautiful beach!

Australia and New Zealand have been on our bucket list for a long time, and we were eager to go with a group of friends that we have traveled with before. The information provided by South Shore Travel prior to the trip was an important part of the overall experience . Working with Pam was wonderful. She is very well informed and thinks of everything. Our group was well taken care of. We had fun and felt safe at all times. I definitely would travel with her again.
Some highlights of the trip included:
• Snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns was wonderful.
